Silver Comet Trail
The Silver Cometmulti-purpose rail trail is the backbone of Cobb County's trail system, begining on Mavel Road at the East-West Connector extending West to Alabama and beyond.  Eastward plans link to the City of Atlanta's renowned BeltLine, a 33 mile trail system designed to circle the city.
The missing link between Alabama and Atlanta are 3 miles of The Silver Comet  from the East/West Connector to the Chattahoochee River in Cobb County.  This track to trail conversion remains unfinished and unfunded.
